Simon Howes brings a deep commitment to education, faith, and community leadership to the St. John's Family Center. Originally from the UK, where he graduated with a degree in Mathematics & Computer Science, Simon spent over three decades as a pioneering technology executive and software engineering leader. His career includes founding a digital voice startup in Canada, holding 9 US patents, and serving as Vice President of Engineering for Nuance Communications (now Microsoft), where he managed healthcare speech recognition systems for a decade.

Passionate about investing in the next generation, Simon transitioned his love for mathematics into education, earning a Master of Education from the University of Bridgeport. He is a qualified high school mathematics teacher and an active SAT/ACT coach, helping local students achieve their academic goals.

Simon’s dedication to service is deeply rooted in his faith and civic life. He has served the church community for 10 years as both a Church Warden and a Lay Eucharistic Minister, and he is the former Chairman of the St. John's Family Center (SJFC). Whether in the classroom, the community, or ministry, Simon is dedicated to fostering growth, supporting families, and giving back.
