Food Donations

We could not do what we do without the generous grant of weekly donations from Panera Bread, Stop&Shop and ShopRite.  Also the wonderful support of the individuals and organizations involved in all our initiatives.

Community Supper

The Great Charity Gingerbread house project a volunteer initiative led by Fairfield resident Carole Canzoneri (Stagnato) has supplied monthly meals, which includes a entree, side dish, rolls, and desserts. In addition to the dinners, they have supplied bulk food donations, blessing bags /food/personal care products, special event items such as Candy Bar during the holiday season and homemade Birthday cakes

We are grateful for the cooked food that is supplied by all our partner organizations towards the weekly Community supper

Donations

We are also extremely grateful for all your generous donations, with special mention to St Paul's Church in Fairfield for their wonderful donation towards remediation of the mold issue in our pantry, The Cub Scouts Pack 99 of Fairfield, The Fairfield County Bank and Karen Ferleger

Blanket Donations

Binky Patrol logo with kids and community outreach initiatives slogan

Thank you to Jeanne Malgioglio and the Binky Patrol for the generous donation of "Binkies"; comforting blankets which we distributed to our children in need.  The goal of the Binky Patrol is to offer children a sense of security and warmth through something they can hold and call their own.

While many people think of blankets primarily during the colder months, Binky Patrol collects homemade blankets year-round. A child’s need for comfort doesn't take a summer vacation. Even in the heat of summertime, children in shelters, or crisis situations need the security, warmth, and reassuring hug that their blankets provide.

Clothing Donations

Thank you so very much to Olive My Stuff for the donation of clothing to our outreach. Our own board member Wendy Malone Levy coordinated with Ali Pappageorge Jagoe to make this happen! Our neighbors in need are often faced with choosing to pay for medications and for their utilities over getting clothing. Knowing this need exists fuels our goal to offer nice clothing. Thank you to Ali for your generosity. Not only does your clothing offer warmth but also an added sense of self confidence and style. St. John's Family Center aims to uplift in every way we can!

Shopping Carts

A HUGE thank you to our former board member Jim Funk for his wonderful donation towards shopping carts for the food pantry. We serve over 175 families EACH week at our food pantry and are aiming to convert to a full shoppers choice method for our neighbors which would mirror shopping in a grocery store. Our purpose is to have our neighbors feel dignified and that they have a choice while visiting our food pantry and empower the difficult choice they make each week to have to come see us.
