Our Impact on The Community
Every meal, grant and volunteer hour tells a story of impact.
In 2025 we provided food to 21,797 individuals and in 2026 we have experienced an increase in the number of people coming to the food pantry. As of Jun the total number of people we have served from the food pantry has already reached 12,204.

In 2025 we distributed 268,896 pounds (122 metric Tons) of food from a number of sources:

63% - Donations from CT Foodshare

32% - The Emergency Food Assistance Program (TEFAP)

3% - Connecticut Nutrition Assistance Program (CTNAP)

2% - Grocery Purchasing Program (GPP)
We serve 5,400 meals a year (including seconds) at the weekly community supper. That averages to around 400 meals a month to people in need.
We hand out bundles of diapers to families with children every Saturday at the food pantry. The number of diapers in each bundle varies depending on the age of the child:

Newborn - 28 diapers

2-3 Year old - 21 diapers

4+ Year - 14 diapers
In 2025 the food pantry was only open 3 weeks every month, but for 2026 we now open every week in the month to meet the increasing need for assistance.
